Darío Garigliotti
Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Computer Science, living in Norway.

I am a researcher and a software developer.
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at University of Bergen, Norway, conducting research on explainable AI, especially on assessment of multiple aspects of Large Language Models in the intersection of techniques and applications from several fields like NLP, Information Retrieval and Extraction, Knowledge Graphs and Recommender Systems. Within this project, I collaborate with academic and industrial partners, including research stays at UPV, Spain -investigating approaches to evaluate LLMs-, and development at Equinor -where we work on risk assessment and governance.
I have been working in the broad area of Artificial Intelligence since 2012, specifically in the fields of natural language processing and information retrieval. My long-term goal is to contribute to the understanding of the processes behind human perception, communication, reasoning, and action.
My formation in Computer Science is grounded on fundamental concepts and techniques for solving problems, strongly math-founded, with special focus on logical reasoning from day one.
I became a Ph.D. in Computer Science at University of Stavanger, Norway.
I conducted research on information access and interaction, working on representations and methods to power the next generation of search engines.
Additionally, I gained experience in teaching, supervising student projects, and contributing in my team by building system prototypes, participating in scientific competitions and developing a software toolkit for semantic search. And I did an internship at Signal AI in London, developing solutions for business intelligence such as reputation monitoring and analysis in corporate news.
After my Ph.D., I was a postdoctoral fellow at Aalborg University, Denmark, partnering with the Danish Ministry of Environment on information extraction, processing and representation to support digital access and decision making in sustainability-oriented environmental assessment.
I am also a M.Sc. in Computer Science, from FaMAF, National University of Córdoba, Argentina. I studied fundamental and theoretical CS, and specialized in AI and NLP.
Also there, I worked at Test4All, an university-incubated start-up, developing natural language solutions for user software specifications.
